Product Description:

One of Japan's biggest new action series of recent years is heating up - literally. As the ice caps melt the planet of E.D.N III turns from a frozen wasteland to a mix of jungle paradise and blistering desert. That only makes the world more dangerous though, with the continued threat of "snow" pirates and even bigger and more aggressive Akrid monsters.

Inspired by Halo and other Western action games this third person shooter also blends in the best of Japanese titles with role-playing style character customisation and some of the best giant robot suits in the business.

Brand new for this sequel is a four-player co-operative option that lets you play through the whole single player campaign with three allies (either human or computer controlled). With a greatly expanded competitive multiplayer as well this should reveal and exploit all of the potential of the original Lost Planet.

  • 4-player co-op action: Team up to battle the giant Akrid in explosive 4 player co-operative play. Teamwork is the players key to victory as the team is dependent on each other to succeed and survive.
  • Single-player game evolves based on players decisions and actions
  • Deep level of character customization: Players will have hundreds of different ways to customize their look to truly help them define their character on the battlefield both on- and offline. Certain weapons can also be customized to suit individual player style.
  • Beautiful massive environments: Capcoms advanced graphics engine, MT Framework 2.0, will bring the game to life with the next step in 3D fidelity and performance.
  • Massive scale of enemies: Players skill on the battlefield and work as a team will be tested like never before against the giant Akrid. Players will utilize teamwork tactics, new weapons and a variety of vital suits (VS) to fight these larger-than-life bosses.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Waste of money
To begin I would like to state the things that I do believe to be good about Lost Planet 2, visually it is impressive and fighting the huge monsters
is rather satisfying. The flaws are not so limited in it, the story is basically none existent, there are 5 different factions that are represented
in the game each with it's own agenda unrelated from the rest. Each episode takes about an hour and a half to finish, this allows no time to bond
with the characters before being moved ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Decent but Dissapointing
After the online hype and the decent demo, LP2 was left wanting.

It has great weapons, decent gameplay but lacked a cohesive storyline which made the online experience feel disjointed - and that prevented one feeling any sympathy or affinity with the characters. Certain aspects of the online interface were a bit confusing and could have been simpler to navigate, and one could be left waiting for quite some time before finding 3 players with whom to co-op. The unhelpful AI makes playing ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - long lasting
great visuals, good atmospheric game, has so much customizability that it can remain the same yet different for a long time in campaign mode, add to that the online multiplay modes and this is one game that can and will tke up a lot of your playing time. Only drawback is the masses of menus which can seem a bit complicated at first but you do get the hang of it. Worth a space in your collection.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Just a quick review on a solid game
i really enjoyed the single player experience. battling big bosses never got old and the graphics and storyline are amazing. the Online (not campaign) seemed alien and odd to me, i didn't enjoy it at all(probably because i didn't understand it)but as i only played the one game i can't really rate it. the controls i found where great and very easy to pick up even my friends who rarely play video games didn't even have to ask me. overall this games excellent and great value for the price its going at ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - a great game, despite its flaws
    Pros:
    + Massive Levels
+ a lot of weapons, mechs.
+ Amazing graphics, sound and animation.
    + Gears of War characters.
+ Designed with Co-Op in mind.

    Cons:
    - every chapter doesn't relate to the other one in terms of story and scenario.
    - control mechanism is still the same.
    - it's very challenging when played alone.

NOTE: when you insert the disc, you'll be able to install the latest update which fixes a LOT of problems found in ... Read More
