Quinta do Crastos Tinta Roriz is released only in the finest years and it is made with 100% Tinta Roriz grapes. After foot treading at the lagares, the must was transferred to a stainless steel tank with an open top and mechanical footpads where it was fermented for 10 days at controlled temperatures. After finishing the fermentation the grapes were gently pressed in hydraulic presses. The ageing is done in new 225 litre French oak barrels for 16 months. Soft and round on the palate, very well balanced. A long and lingering finish.

This has wonderfully fresh red fruit flavours with pear and raspberry compôte richness, good structure and smoky, liquorice fruit.
This has all the intensity of a Port - rich, spicy, black fruit flavours, hints of muscovado sugar - without the weight and substantial alcohol.
Released only in the finest years, this field-mix of 100+ year-old indigenous grape varieties comes from the ancient, terraced Vinha da Ponte vineyard. The grapes are trodden in traditional stone troughs, or lagars, then transferred to an open top, stainless steel tank where the cap is regularly pressed down with robotic pistons. Fermentation takes place for a week in a temperature-controlled environment. Like its sister wine, Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa, Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte takes its name from a centenary plot of vines. It is only bottled in years of exceptional quality that yield lively and deep-coloured wines. This is a distinctive wine, with rich and intense aromas of ripe fruit that stand out elegantly over the notes of oak. It is powerful and elegant on the palate and finishes with great balance and persistence, ensuring its development in the bottle for years to come.
