All Saints, Mel C & Sophie Ellis Bextor @ Kew Gardens
Unrequited love. Creative jealousy. Guns. Vodka and Art. Chekhov’s celebrated masterpiece is given vibrant new life in this dynamic new adaptation by Olivier-award winning playwright Simon Stephens directed by Sean Holmes and starring Lesley Sharp as Irina Arkadina. Switching effortlessly between the ridiculous and the profound The Seagull forensically examines the transcendence and destructiveness of love. The burning need to create Art and how harshly that need can be crushed permeates throughout the play. Ages:14+

English National Ballet and English National Ballet School have joined to bring My First Ballet: Cinderella to the Peacock theatre this spring! Everyone's favourite rags-to-riches story, in a beautifully adapted ballet version for children aged three upwards. Cinderella is tormented by her stepsisters and she can only dream of attending the Prince’s glamorous ball. Abandoned to an evening of drudgery, she is visited by her Fairy Godmother who transforms her into a glittering Princess who shall go to the ball. With a narrator to help the young audience follow the story, and a shortened version of Prokofiev’s ravishing score, My First Ballet: Cinderella is a unique collaboration between English National Ballet and English National Ballet School.
