This Chardonnay comes from vineyards that were farmed to The Nth Degree. Each vine received at least 15 passes whereby leaves, shoots and clusters were removed to ensure that the only clusters that remained were of the highest quality. The water was managed so that the vines were perfectly balanced with the correct amount of growth to fully ripen the berries for the optimal level of flavour. The grapes were hand harvested into half-ton bins in the early morning. The wine was barrel fermented in a combination of French, American, Eastern European and neutral oak. This is a beautifully balanced, full-bodied Chardonnay with tropical fruit, nutmeg and clove flavours that integrate perfectly with intense vanilla and complex butter aromas. With a crisp mouthfeel and smooth finish, this is a wonderful example of Livermore Valley Chardonnay.
Limited stock. Alively palate dominated by fresh and clean citrus furits with an enticing mix of passionfruit, gooseberry, mineral tones and herbaceous traces creating complexity. This wine has elegance, texture and persistence with a crisp finish. 90% Sauvignon Blanc 10% Semillon.
Deep plum with a garnet rim. Bright exuberant aromatics of spice, tilled earth, ripe red fruits and hints of cedar and sandalwood. Complexing notes of dried herb, blueberry and oyster sauce. A brooding, powerful core of earth and dark chocolate, underwritten by the darker, more savoury notes of grilled meats, wood smoke and graphite. Structurally quite shy initially but finishing on the palate savoury and with firm fine tannin structure providing wonderful length and textural intrigue.
Deep purple black. The nose combines an opulent and seductive fruitiness with an intricate kaleidoscope of complex multidimensional aroma. Pungent resiny scents of eucalyptus and rock rose, notes of lychee and passion fruit combine with exotic hints of leather, musk and cedar. The palate is round and velvety and the dense but well integrated tannins are wrapped in a cloak of succulent berry fruit flavour. The jammy fruit carries through into the finish where it is lifted by an attractive crispness and pungency.
75cl A fine blend of Italian white wine, infused with herbs and spices are used to produce Martini Bianco Vermouth. Serve over ice with lemonade.
Dense crimson with purple hues at the rim. Concentrated aromas of plum, spice, black currant and hints of chocolate. An intense and brooding wine with layers of dark purple fruit over olive, cigar box and coffee. The palate is full and round with an abundance of soft and finely textured tannins providing an elegant structure and great persistence.
Appearance : White gold, silver highlights. Nose : An open nose, with a good varietal profile leading to notes of boxwood, rhubarb, melon and fruity aromas of pear and mango. Mouth : Supple in the first instance, the vine shows good volume in the middle of the mouth with fruity and floral accents. The aromatics of mirabelle plum linger long.
