From the same domaine and winemaker that makes the Adnams Malbec, this is an inky-dark, roast beef-friendly blend of colourific southern French grape Malbec and Italy's Bonarda, with enticing aromas of plums, spicy oak and vanilla. This is the domaine of Susana Balbo, wine consultant to the great and the good all over South America. The winery is located in the Los Andes foothills in the town of Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza Province. The altitude of 1000m above sea level leads to intense clear sunlight for ripening and cool nights for slow maturation giving the grapes a rich intensity. Aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels this is a well-structured steak-friendly red.
