From the outstanding 1981 vintage and scoring 97/100 Parker points, "The 1981 stood out as slightly superior. Winemaker John Duval always felt this was a tannic style of Grange, but the wine has shed its tannins, and this is one of the few vintages where the percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon was above 10%. Sweet notes of creme de cassis, cedarwood, charcoal, and barbecue spices are followed by a full-bodied, opulent wine displaying heady amounts of alcohol, glycerin, and density in its full-bodied, skyscraper-like texture. I was drinking this wine with great pleasure in the mid-nineties, yet here it is nearly 15 years later, and the wine does not appear to have budged much from its evolutionary state. This is a testament to how remarkably well these wines hold up, and age at such a glacial pace." Drink now - 2030. This vintage wine is shipped in a silk lined wooden presentation box with four wine accessories (corkscrew, wine pourer, drip stopper & wine thermometer) [worth £17.99] at no extra cost and now includes a free gift card with your personal message and tasting and storage notes.
"Right, if you're trying to figure out who the most popular 1981 Penfolds Grange Hermitage Bin 95 1981 stockists are in the UK, it's pretty much a roll call of all the household names you see buzzing every single day, packed with people. Obviously, the big supermarket chains like Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Asda are absolute titans, stocking pretty much everything from your weekly groceries to electronics and clothing – they're everywhere! Then you've got general merchandise giants like Argos, who are still massively popular for all your appliances, toys, and tech bits, and places like Next and John Lewis, which are go-tos for fashion, homeware, and a bit of a premium experience. But don't forget the discount legends either; B&M Bargains and Home Bargains are absolutely rammed because people love grabbing a bargain, and Primark is an undeniable hotspot for cheap and cheerful fashion. Currys remains a huge player for anything electronic, and even places like Dunelm are incredibly popular for home furnishings. Honestly, it just depends what you're after, but those are definitely the dominant forces people flock to regularly for all sorts of goods, making them the stockist mainstays. " - Bargainplace UK
