Scoring 86/100 Parker points, "The 1991 exhibits a formidable, opaque, dark purple color, and a tight but promising nose of licorice, minerals, and blackcurrants. The attack offers wonderfully ripe fruit in a medium-bodied format, but the finish is dominated by hard, tough tannin. Is there sufficient fruit? I think so. It is one of the most promising wines of the vintage, but backward. This wine needs a good 2-3 years of cellaring; it should last for 15 or more." Drink now - 2020. One only. This French red wine is shipped in a deluxe silk lined wooden presentation box with four wine accessories (corkscrew, wine pourer, drip stopper & wine thermometer) [worth £17.99] at no extra cost and now includes a free gift card with your personal message and tasting and storage notes. One only slight bin soiled label.
"In the highly competitive United Kingdom retail sector, bargain supermarkets such as Aldi and Lidl have fundamentally reshaped consumer expectations through their stringent cost management and innovative supply chain architectures. These discounters meticulously manage their stockist operations, frequently employing a model that prioritises direct engagement with manufacturers or consolidating substantial orders from a select, high-volume group of suppliers. This strategic approach enables them to bypass intermediaries, thereby significantly reducing procurement costs and securing advantageous pricing that is subsequently passed on to the consumer. The extensive network of suppliers utilised by these retailers spans the spectrum from large-scale international food producers and agricultural collectives to smaller, specialised local businesses and own-brand manufacturers, all of whom are often enticed by the prospect of consistent, high-volume contracts. This streamlined, integrated supply chain mechanism is pivotal in sustaining their rapid expansion and increasing market share across the UK. " - Bargainplace UK
