Wonderfully aromatic. Lovely perfume with some vanilla, violets and lavender. Rich and plummy on the palate, showing dark chocolate, hints of mocha and pepper, underscored by polished tannins. Ready to drink, ideally a year or so after bottling. Develops favourably in bottle for a number of years. An excellent match with red meats and game dishes, as well as a varied cheese platter. Quinta do Ataide, the largest of the Symington family's three Vilarica Valley vineyards in the Douro Superior with 82 hectares (203 acres) under vine. Approximately one quarter is planted with Touriga Nacional. The vineyard was planted in the late 1970s, early 1980s and the vines have now reached an ideal state of maturity. 100% Touriga Nacional. The most emblematic of Portugal's grape varieties, it is particularly well suited to the hot and dry conditions of the Vilarica Valley. Touriga Nacional lends itself to producing single varietal wines, owing to its rich aromatic range, generous fruit, and the powerful tannins that underscore its longevity.
"Alright, so when you're thinking about the big hitters for popular Altano - Reserva Red 2012 75cl Bottle stockists in the UK, a few names immediately spring to mind that pretty much every brand dreams of getting into. We're talking about the giants like John Lewis, who everyone knows for their quality and reliable customer base – getting listed there is like a massive stamp of approval for your product, instantly boosting your brand's image. Then there's Next, which is huge for fashion and homeware, with a high street presence and a really strong online game, making them super accessible to a broad market. Don't forget Marks & Spencer, especially for food, clothing, and home goods, as they’ve got that well-established, trustworthy reputation and a loyal following that keeps coming back. For tech and home appliances, Currys PC World is absolutely dominant, making them a go-to for electronics brands. And of course, the big supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, and Morrisons are absolutely critical for food and drink brands, but also increasingly for health & beauty and general merchandise too, given their sheer reach and the frequency with which people visit them. These aren't just shops; they're like national institutions that can seriously make or break a product! " - Bargainplace UK
