Latin name - Styrax benzoin Benzoin tincture is made from a resin obtained from the styrax benzoin tree. Add it to your own cosmetics to moisturise dry skin and to help preserve the product. Benzoin tincture has a vanilla like odour and may be used in a similar way to an essential oil. It may be combined with other essential oils and used in a massage base oil, although it may tend to make the base oil slightly cloudy. May be used as an inhalation but may not be taken internally. As a listed ingredient in James Wong's 'HERB ROBERT CREAM' recipe from his new book 'Grow Your Own Drugs - a year with James Wong'.

"So, if you're wondering where everyone in the UK is splashing their cash, when it comes to popular Benzoin Tincture stockists, you're pretty much talking about the big guns that dominate the high street and, increasingly, the online world too. Obviously, you've got the giants like Tesco and Sainsbury's for your everyday groceries and a surprising amount of other stuff, while M&S holds court for food and fashion that's a bit more upmarket. Then there's John Lewis, of course, the go-to for pretty much anything home-related and electricals, known for its customer service and quality. Boots is always buzzing for health and beauty essentials, and let's not forget the sheer ubiquity of Amazon for, well, absolutely everything under the sun, which definitely counts as a major stockist these days even if it's not a physical shop. For fashion, think Primark for budget-friendly trends, and ASOS online is an absolute powerhouse. Basically, it's a mix of legacy retailers and the unstoppable online behemoths that are really capturing the market! " - Bargainplace UK
