"Okay, so if you're trying to figure out where everyone in the UK actually shops for stuff, it’s a pretty mixed bag, but some names just consistently pop up as the big hitters. Obviously, you've got the supermarket giants like Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Asda, where most people do their weekly food shop, but they're also huge for all sorts of household bits, clothing, and electronics – basically 'one stop shop' territory. Then there’s the department store crowd; John Lewis is a massive favourite for quality and service, especially around Christmas, while Next is super popular for fashion and homeware. For online, Amazon UK is just undeniably massive, selling literally everything, and ASOS is the go-to for fashion-forward clothing. Don't forget Argos for speedy click-and-collect goodies, or the discount legends like B&M and Home Bargains if you're after a bargain on anything from snacks to garden furniture – they're seriously popular for a reason!
