Clematis 'Honora' flowers between June and July with a second array of flowers in late summer. The flowers are large, and violet- purple in colour, with a distinct burgundy stripe through thecentre of each sepal. Its anthers are creamy white, with purple tips. It is a classic clematis specimen and looks superb growing against trellis on fences, arbour seats and walls, or in obelisk containers. It is low maintenance and after the flowers die in late summer the plant can be pruned back to almost ground level, and it will grow again the following year. Height: 3.5m (11'). Spread: 1m (3').
