Written, directed by and starring Orson Welles, Confidential Report is a controversial and highly individual thriller with a deliciously cruel twist. Gregory Arkadin (Orson Welles) is one of the world`s most powerful financiers, a giant of a man whose ruthless grasp spans entire continents. But Gregory Arkadin is also an amnesiac and he has no idea what terrible secrets may be lurking in his forgotten past. Arkadin hires petty crook Guy Van Stratten (Robert Arden) to investigate his life and to prepare a confidential report. Van Stratten scours Europe in search of answers, but no-one is prepared for what he will uncover and the effect it will have on Arkadin`s beautiful young daughter (Paola Mori). Also known as `Mr Arkadin`, Confidential Report is a fascinating companion piece to Welles` most celebrated film Citizen Kane, and filmed in a brilliant mix of Noir and contemporary European styles. The film has been restored and remastered for this, its first ever UK DVD release. Running Time: 94 minutes Region: Region 2 Release Date: 2 Dec. 2013
