There's Ed who's decided to declare his love to a woman who is way out of his league; Mel and Claudine two long-term friends who are now tempted to start an illicit affair; and Gwen the chain-smoking head of department who has a deep dark secret she only wants to share with her new employee. No one who comes into contact with Ceri is ever the same again. Could this unsuspecting young woman be modern-day Cupid?

"So, if you're curious about where most folks in the UK do their Cupid Effect shopping, you're pretty much looking at a handful of major players who dominate the high street and out-of-town retail parks. Top of the list, without a doubt, are the colossal supermarket chains like Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Asda – they're your go-to for everything from your weekly groceries and household essentials to clothes and electronics. You'll find a branch of one of these practically everywhere. Then, for health and beauty products, plus a massive range of pharmacy items, Boots is an absolute institution, while Marks & Spencer (M&S) remains incredibly popular for its quality food (especially the 'Dine In' meals!) and stylish clothing. Don't forget department store giants like John Lewis, famous for their 'never knowingly undersold' policy and a huge selection of everything home and fashion. And for those looking for a bargain or quirky finds, discount retailers like B&M, Home Bargains, and Wilko (before its recent troubles!) have built massive followings. Basically, if you need it, there's a good chance one of these popular Cupid Effect stockists will have it covered! " - Bargainplace UK
