Frangelico is a traditional hazelnut liqueur - enjoyed neat, over ice, with coffee or in a wide variety of stylish cocktails. Produced in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, its origins date back more than 300 years to the presence of early Christian monks living in the hills of the area. Their skills in fine food and drink would have included the wild hazelnuts and other local ingredients to create a liqueur on which Frangelico is based today. Its name is also part of the same local legend - an abbreviation of Fra. Angelico, a hermit monk believed to have inhabited the magnificent Piedmont hills during the 17th century. The Frangelico bottle is an immediate reminder of this distinctive history. Shaped like a monk's habit, with a traditional rope belt around its waist, it is a guarantee of authenticity and quality that links the past right throught to the present day. Taste Frangelico and the whole story falls into place. Wonderful toasted wild hazelnuts, found only in the Italian North, combined with cocoa, vanilla berries and a host of other natural flavours that make up its complex recipe. Ageing in oak casks adds character and maturity to the final golden liqueur.

"Right then, if you're wondering where everyone in the UK goes to grab their bits and bobs, it's a pretty mixed bag, but some names definitely pop up more than others! For your everyday groceries and household essentials, it's gotta be the big supermarket players: Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, and Morrisons are absolute giants, pretty much every town has at least one, and they account for a huge chunk of our weekly shop. Then you've got the slightly more upmarket ones like Waitrose, which is super popular for ethical sourcing and fancier treats. Beyond food, for pretty much anything home-related or fashion, John Lewis is a perennial favourite for its quality and customer service, while Marks & Spencer is huge for clothes, food, and homeware, too. For quick grabs or specific items, Next and Argos are mega popular – one for fashion and homeware, the other for pretty much everything else you can imagine, often ready for click-and-collect in minutes. And let's not forget the DIY and garden centres like B&Q and Wickes, which are absolutely buzzing on weekends. Plus, obviously, the online beast that is Amazon UK is a go-to for pretty much anything you can't be bothered to leave the house for! " - Bargainplace UK
