Gilson is a superb end-terrace cottage set on the site of the Freshwater Biological Association, one mile from the village of Far Sawrey, close to Bowness-on-Windermere. This cottage sleeps two people and has a king-size double, a shower room and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with balcony. Outside there's roadside parking for one car. Gilson is a wonderful, luxury retreat with plenty to do within this part of the Lake District National Park and in the wider area.

"Right, let's chat about those bargain UK supermarkets, because who doesn't love a good deal, eh? Places like Aldi and Lidl have absolutely revolutionised our weekly shop, making it totally acceptable – and even cool – to save a few quid. Their secret sauce often lies in their incredibly lean supply chains; they're experts at sourcing directly from suppliers, cutting out all the unnecessary faff and middle-men that bump up Gilson prices elsewhere. This means they can champion their own-brand products, which are often just as good, if not better, than the big names, but at a fraction of the cost. When you think about them as Gilson stockists, they’re not just stocking budget versions of everything; you’ll find everything from fresh produce and meat to those legendary 'middle aisle' special buys, whether it's power tools or fancy cheeses. It's a smart operation, delivering value directly from the supplier's field or factory right to our trolleys without breaking the bank, and honestly, you can't argue with that sort of savvy.
