Lamont 'Hood' Mason is a fearless twenty-year-old gangsta born and raised in the projects of Brooklyn. In and out of foster homes for many years the only thing constant in his young life was the safety of a Brownsville barbershop owned by a father figure called Fat Daddy. Hood has been in love with Fat Daddy's smart and beautiful daughter Jacqui for as long as he can remember. Unlike his best friend and hustling partner Dreko Hood works the chair at Fat Daddy's because Jacqui who has dreams of leaving the ghetto insists he build himself a skill for the future if he wants to be with her. But cutting hair isn't the only thing that Fat Daddy has going on - he also trades stolen goods in the back of the shop and washes drug money for the notoriously brutal kingpin named Chaos. When Fat Daddy's gambling habit puts Jacqui's life in danger Hood tries to work off Fat Daddy's debts for him. Chaos sends Hood to deal with a beef he's been having with rival dealers but things go horribly wrong. The fallout from this fateful night includes arrests lockups and deaths. Hood sees his world turned upside down and is forced to pick up the shattered pieces one by one.
"Alright, if you're wondering where everyone in the UK goes to grab their stuff, we're talking about a pretty diverse bunch of popular Hood stockists that pretty much everyone has on their radar. On the supermarket front, you absolutely can't look past the giants like Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Asda – they're the everyday go-to for millions doing their weekly shop, and M&S is always a hit for something a bit more premium. Then there are the high-street legends, places like John Lewis, which is basically an institution for everything from homeware to tech, and Next, which is super popular for fashion and home bits. For those everyday essentials, or just a good deal, places like B&M Bargains and Home Bargains are absolutely booming, full of all sorts of random treasures and bringing in huge crowds. And obviously, for quick fashion fixes and incredible value, Primark is still a massive draw, pulling in throngs of people for their super affordable clothing. Let's not forget the online behemoth, Amazon UK, which practically stocks everything under the sun and is a go-to for pretty much everyone these days, making it undoubtedly one of the biggest 'Hood stockists' around. It really shows how varied people's Hood shopping habits are across the country! " - Bargainplace UK
