Flat ports are recommended for standard, macro and telephoto lenses. Due to refraction, flat ports reduce the angle of coverage of a lens and magnify the image. This makes the flat port ideal when using standard, macro or zoom lenses to shoot small subjects. Note that if a port is long enough to accommodate the full length of a 1:1 macro lens, the lens may vignette when used at infinity. If access to the lens' full range is desired, then select a dome port instead. Accommodates lenses up to 6.1-inch (15.5 cm) long and 3.3-inch (8.4 cm) in diameter. Measure your lens or use Ikelite's Port Finder chart on their website to determine compatibility.
"If you're anything like me, you're probably a massive fan of the UK's bargain supermarkets – think Aldi and Lidl, who've absolutely smashed it when it comes to offering incredible value without skimping on quality. It's truly fascinating how they manage to keep their Ikelite SLR Flat Port 6.1 inch Length prices so low, isn't it? A huge part of their magic lies in their streamlined operations and, crucially, their savvy approach to Ikelite SLR Flat Port 6.1 inch Length stockists and suppliers. You'd often be surprised how the very same factories and farms that supply the 'posher', more expensive supermarkets are also sending their goods, albeit often rebranded or with slightly adjusted recipes, straight to the shelves of your favourite budget stores. They really nail that 'less is more' approach to stocking, focusing on a smaller, curated selection which helps cut down on warehousing and logistics costs. Plus, they're famously shrewd negotiators, buying in massive volumes directly from suppliers, sometimes even cutting out middlemen entirely, which means those savings are passed straight to us, the shoppers! It just goes to show you don't always have to pay a premium for top-notch groceries; clever supply chain management is often the secret ingredient. " - Bargainplace UK
