The History of LAMY

LAMY is an independent family-owned enterprise established in 1930 by C. Josef LAMY in Heidelberg Germany.

Since becoming a brand in 1952 LAMY has proved its innovative prowess with every new pen series it has designed; beginning with the novel LAMY 27 fountain pen series in its first year.

The distinctive style of LAMY Design was born in 1966 with the LAMY 2000 pen series.

Since its inception LAMY has continually produced innovative reliable and intelligent writing instruments and is not only the market leader in Germany but also ranks among the German design brands whose products hold a special position worldwide.
