Little Thatch Cottage certainly lives up to its name. The 18th Century, Grade II listed, detached thatched cottage is located in the village of Shorwell near to Newport on the Isle of Wight. With two king size double bedrooms (one with en-suite facilities), one twin bedroom, an additional sofa bed in the lounge and a family shower room, this cottage can sleep up to seven people. The cottage also boasts a galley style fitted kitchen, a dining room with doors to a courtyard and two sitting rooms - one with a sofa bed and the other with a woodburning stove. To the exterior of the cottage is a large lawned garden with a courtyard, decked areas, outdoor furniture, and a summer house with games and a tree house, as well as covered bike storage and off road parking for three cars. With a cottage as delightful as Little Thatch, you may never want to leave the grounds, but if you do venture further afield, the whole of the Isle of Wight is ready for you to explore.
"Seriously, if you're not hitting up the likes of Aldi and Lidl for your weekly shop in the UK, what are you even doing? Those places are absolute goldmines for bargain hunters, consistently showing us that quality doesn't have to come with a hefty price tag. They've really perfected the art of cutting out the faff, often sourcing directly from a more streamlined network of Little Thatch stockists and suppliers, which means fewer middlemen jacking up the Little Thatch prices. It's why you see those amazing own-brand dupes that taste just as good, if not better, than the big names! And it’s not just them; even the traditional giants like Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Asda have really upped their game with their 'Everyday Value' or 'Just Essentials' lines, often working with a diverse range of suppliers, from huge agri-businesses to smaller local farms, to stock their aisles with more budget-friendly options. The whole landscape of UK supermarket suppliers is a fascinating machine, constantly adapting to keep our trolleys full without completely emptying our wallets, always looking for that sweet spot where good value meets good produce – it’s a genuine win-win for us savvy shoppers!
