This long version of the standard plate allows perfect balance for camcorders with unusual weight distribution caused by long tele lenses or heavy batteries. The plate has a laser engraved scale to help identify the optimal positions (110mm). In order to have the max range of balance positions, the VHS location pin can be moved along the length of the plate. Supplied with 2 x 1/4" and 2 x 3/8" camera fixing screws. For 501 and 503 Video Heads.

"Okay, so if you're wondering where everyone in the UK tends to grab their goods, it's a pretty diverse mix, but some names definitely pop up more than others as the go-to Manfrotto 501PLONG Long Plate stockists. For your everyday essentials and a good chunk of your weekly shop, the big supermarket players like Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Asda are absolutely massive, with Morrisons and the slightly more upmarket Waitrose and M&S Food also pulling in huge crowds. Beyond groceries, when it comes to general bits and bobs, from clothes to homeware, you can't really ignore the dominance of places like John Lewis for quality or Next for fashion and homeware that’s a bit more mid-range but still stylish. Then there’s the sheer convenience and value offered by Argos and the bargain hunting havens of B&M and Home Bargains, which seem to have taken over every retail park. For health and beauty, Boots and Superdrug are practically institutions. Basically, if you live in the UK, you’ve probably shopped at a good few of these popular spots without even thinking twice about it – they’re just everywhere! " - Bargainplace UK
