On the nose there are notes of old honey, bitter citrus peel, chocolate & coffee and a mixture of sweet spices and pear compote. It's taste is complex, warm and generous, with gentle oak, dried figs, raisins, tobacco, orange peel. Long after-taste of dried fruit (figs, plums), smoky, with a long aromatic finish. Once every year, the Metaxa Master Constantinos Raptis brings to life an extraordinary creation. From the House cellars, he selects ingredients that have matured patiently and are at the absolute peak of their expression. Carefully, he brings them together in a single batch to create The Metaxxa Private Reserve. Every drop of this dark amber liquid reveals aromas of beautifully aged Muscat wines and of exquisite, aged wine distillates.
"Alright, so if you're wondering who the big players are when it comes to popular Metaxa - Private Reserve 70cl Bottle stockists in the UK, it’s a bit of a mixed bag but with some absolute giants dominating the scene. Obviously, the supermarket chains are huge – think Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, and Morrisons; they're everywhere and stock everything from groceries to clothing and electronics, making them incredibly popular for daily essentials and more. Then you’ve got M&S, which is a massive favourite, especially for their food halls and quality fashion. For general bits and bobs, homewares, and electronics, Argos still pulls in loads of customers, and you can’t forget John Lewis for a slightly more upmarket but incredibly beloved department store experience. High street stalwarts like Boots for health and beauty, and Next for a wide range of fashion and home goods, also consistently rank high. Basically, if you walk into almost any town centre or retail park, you’re bound to find a handful of these massive retailers bustling with consumers! " - Bargainplace UK
