Inspired by the famous Parisian confection, we've created a gloriously ornamental blend of green and black tea adorned with curlicues of coconut chips, pieces of caramel and a handful of patissier's sugared hazelnuts. Elaborate, perhaps. But with its creamy coconut freshness and vibrant edge of bright steamed Sencha, it's all about being sweet but chic. Now, we know what we'd suggest as the ideal taste pairing. Pierre Herm and Ladure are masters of the macaron, so be sure to stop by whenever you're in Paris - we'd recommend coconut and lime, or perhaps matcha and chestnut. The Great Taste Awards have been described as the Oscars of the food worldso you can imagine we were pretty chuffed when our Petit Macaron won a coveted two star award this year. The judges praised its good balance, saying: Theres a large caramel presence here, and gentle coconut.
"Alright, so if you're wondering where everyone in the UK actually shops, it's a pretty interesting mix, honestly! For your daily essentials and the weekly food shop, the undisputed kings are undoubtedly the big supermarket chains like Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, and Morrisons – they're absolutely everywhere and pretty much everyone pops into one of them. Then you've got the super popular discount guys like Aldi and Lidl, who've really shaken things up with their great value. When it comes to fashion and homeware, places like Next are seriously huge, offering a decent range for the whole family, and you can't forget the sheer pulling power of Primark for budget-friendly fashion and accessories that fly off the shelves. For more quality homeware, John Lewis is a massive player, known for their excellent service and solid goods, and M&S still holds a huge place in people's hearts for their food and more classic clothing lines. Online, obviously Amazon UK dominates everything, but ASOS is a giant for fashion, and eBay's still a buzzing marketplace. Basically, the UK retail scene is a blend of huge convenient supermarkets, trusted department stores, and some seriously savvy discount and online options! " - Bargainplace UK
