Rolf Prima Ares6 Carbon Clincher Road WheelsetRolf Prima's Ares6 Carbon Clincher Road Wheelset has been updated and redesigned for more speed and stability. Now with even better crosswind handling, the Ares6 has set out to become the ultimate carbon clincher wheelset on the market Lightning Fast Carbon Clincher WheelsetThe Ares6 is a lightweight, aerodynamic deep-section wheelset. Eye-wateringly fast, these carbon clinchers feature a 60mm rim depth and weigh in at 690 grams for the front wheel and 855 grams at the rear. When combined with Rolf Prima's Paired Spoke Technology for an engineering edge and their Delta Rim Technology™, this carbon wheelset neutralises pulling forces for a lighter and smoother roll with increased stability and speed in crosswinds The Ares6's TdF5.5 Hubset is durable, lightweight, and buttery smooth thanks to the use of Enduro ceramic zero bearings. Featuring Rolf Prima's bespoke technology, you can enjoy big gains in lateral stiffness, which means you directly benefit from increased power transfer through your carbon wheelset when you're sprinting and climbing. These deep-section carbon wheels have a 16/16 front-to-back split of CX Speed spokes, which Rolf Prima believes works to deliver their fastest wheelset with superb handling in crosswinds Features:Material: Carbon (rim); CNC Machined Titanium (freehub)AerodynamicStrongLightweightResponsiveSuperb handling in crosswindsIncludes carbon specific brake pads, rim strips, valve extenders, and QRWeight: 690g (Front); 855g (Rear)Specifications:Freehub: Shimano/SRAM/Campagnolo 10/11-speedHubset: TdF5.5 with Enduro ceramic zero bearingsSpoke Count: 16/16Spoke Type: Bladed CX SpeedRim Depth: 60mm Carbon ClincherRim Width: 27mm (maximum)Wheel Size: 700c Technologies:Paired Spoke Technology: Rolf Prima's Paired Spoke technology broke new ground when it was introduced in 1997. Bringing the spokes to the rim in pairs neutralises the left and right outward pulling forces, which allows them to build true wheels on lighter rims with fewer spokes. Fewer spokes and lighter rims help create increased aerodynamics and faster performing wheels Differential Flange Diameter™: Rolf Prima's patented oversize non-drive Differential Flange provides the leverage to transmit drive torque in the rear wheel to the non-drive spokes, thereby increasing the number of torque absorbing spokes Delta Rim Technology™: In skydiving, the Delta track is the fastest position for gaining forward airspeed. So, Rolf Prima mirrored this observation and adapted it for their Delta profile, which takes that cue using increased width and sidewall shaping to improve airflow and stability in straight on and crosswind situations. This wider rim is not just faster, but the additional tyre support improves cornering and handling in all riding conditions Buy Rolf Prima Wheels & Tyres from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.
