Rolf Prima Elan Clincher Road Wheelset 2017 Stockists

Rolf Prima Elan Clincher Road WheelsetIt's seems strange to call Rolf Prima's Elan Alpha Clinchers a set of training wheels. They're remarkably light, accelerate quickly, and easily cut through the wind. But Rolf Prima prides themselves upon high-end products, so perhaps it's logical that their training wheels are on par with many of the racing wheelsets from their competitors Elan: A Light Wheelset for all OccasionsThe Elan Clincher wheelset is very light at a total weight of 1.35 kilograms - that's 585 grams up front and 760 grams at the rear. Ultra-fast and aerodynamic, these Elan Clinchers feature Rolf Prima's Paired Spoke Technology for an engineering edge alongside Delta Rim Technology™, to slice through the wind The Elan wheelset incorporates Rolf Prima's TdF4.4 hubset, which is not only lightweight and smooth, but comes with their bespoke Differential Flange Diameter™ for increased durability. The CNC machined titanium freehub delivers bombproof performance through the incorporation of 3 independently sprung steel pawls at the heart of the freehub's engine room. Finished with a 20/20 front-to-back split of round laser spokes, the Elan is an alloy wheelset that accelerates quickly on the hills and cuts through the wind with ease. Bringing the spokes to the rim in pairs neutralises the left and right outward pulling forces, which allows them to build true wheels on lighter rims with fewer spokes. Fewer spokes and lighter rims help create increased aerodynamics and faster performing wheels Differential Flange Diameter™: Rolf Prima's patented oversize non-drive Differential Flange provides the leverage to transmit drive torque in the rear wheel to the non-drive spokes, thereby increasing the number of torque absorbing spokes Delta Rim Technology™: In skydiving, the Delta track is the fastest position for gaining forward airspeed. So, Rolf Prima mirrored this observation and adapted it for their Delta profile, which takes that cue using increased width and sidewall shaping to improve airflow and stability in straight on and crosswind situations. This wider rim is not just faster, but the additional tyre support improves cornering and handling in all riding conditions Buy Rolf Prima Wheels & Tyres from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.
