Royal Canin Urinary S/O diet is formulated to specifically support the treatment of cystitis and urinary stones. Many cats suffer from recurring Feline LUTD (lower urinary tract disease), frequently with no apparent cause. Feline LUTD can also lead to urinary stones (struvite and calcium oxalate). If your cat has lower urinary tract disease you can help to support the treatment by feeding a diet that maintains the correct urine PH to dissolve struvite stones. By providing nutritional support for your cat’s urinary system you are also helping to reduce the risk of recurrence. Changing your pet's diet and length of treatment: Your pet will need to stay on this diet for 5 to 12 weeks, or until the stones are dissolved. It is advisable to feed this diet for a further 6 months to prevent a recurrence.
