The Santa Cruz Chameleon 27.5 Plus Hardtail Frame 2017 sees the return and redesign of a Santa Cruz classic for 2017, built for everything from dirt to asphalt, it really lives up to its moniker of Chameleon. Built around an interchangeable dropouts system, the Chameleon can run 27.5+ & 29 sized wheels, as well as geared or as singlespeed.  Built around an interchangleable dropout system, the Santa Cruz Chameleon can run geared or singlespeed on both 27.5+ & 29 sized wheels, all without losing out on its fantastic geometry. The geometry itself has been made longer & slacker, running on 120mm of travel the head tube angle comes out at 67.3-degrees on 29 wheels and 67.6-degrees with 27.5+. Instead of sliding horizontally, the adjustable dropouts work through a pivot point, this means that when fully extended they add around 15mm of length to the Chainstay and wheelbase measurements. Further adjustments can be made thanks to the ability to fit up to 140mm of travel up front. All of this leads to a ride that is supremely versatile, the stiff and light aluminium triangle wants to be pushed as hard as possible through the corners, whilst its short rear end delivers a playful side that's big on traction.
