An intense, deep colour with violet flecks.
The nose is complex and powerful with elegant wooded and aromas of cherry and blackberry, lifted with a hint of mint. In the mouth, the wine is structured, powerful with soft ripe tannins.
Full bodied with a long finish with fresh fruit, and final hints of coffee and vanilla from the barrel age.

Beautiful bright ruby-red colour. Aromas of pured raspberry, gooseberry, red currant, blackberry. With ageing, the aromas evolve towards riper notes of syrup, then tobacco and wet undergrowth. Pretty and refined on the nose. The flavours belong to those of a great Burgundy. Fresh, velvety texture (gras), elegant tannins, well meshed when the wine is mature. Long, refined aftertaste, with some touches of fruit jam.

Light in colour, the Vat 6 Pinot Noir has a strawberry lift on the nose with stalk character from the whole bunch ferment adding complexity. The palate is delicate with bright berry fruit characters being the forerunner to the fine tannin structure. It is a wine that will age well in the medium term. This wine was fermented in small hand plunged open vats at Tyrrell's historic Ashman's winery. Partial carbonic maceration was achieved by leaving approximately 30% as whole bunches in the ferment. The wine was then matured in a range of new, one and two year old French barriques.

The average age of his vines is remarkably high, mostly over 50 years.
This ensures deep roots, nourishing the vines from many different lays of soil, to produce the most complex wines, and reduces the natural level of cropping,...

Concentrated and complex nose with lovely ripe, intense fruit of black cherry and plums. Fine French oak adds a toasty, smoky aroma. The palate is full, plush and concentrated with great poise and velvety tannins. It has a long, persistent finish. Very complex in quite full-on style that splits the difference between, say, Mornington and Russian River Valley. Great sweetness. Spicy and flattering - quite long. 17/20. - Jancis Robinson MW. Perfect to accompany all types of game, especially pigeon, duck or quail. Shows very well with a wild mushroom and boar risotto or mature, veined cheeses. 100% Pinot Noir.

Cooler climate fruit flavours such as citrus, white flowers and ripe grapefruit abound on both the nose and palate. The wine is mid-weight with elegant nicely integrated oak providing texture and lingering flavours of cashew, roast hazelnut and gun flint. The structure is tight and lean yet with the finesse and concentration that are hallmarks of Trinity Hill Chardonnay. It displays delicacy and richness and the beautifully linear acidity makes it a fantastic match with food.
