Bertolucci directs this erotic drama based on a novel by Gilbert Adair. Set against the backdrop of a politically-turbulent Paris in 1968, the film tells the story of Matthew (Michael Pitt), an American student abroad, who befriends twin brother and sister Theo (Louis Garrel) and Isabelle (Eva Green) at a political demonstration. The three share a passion for cinema, and quickly become friends. When the twins' parents (Robin Renucci and Anna Chancellor) leave the city for the summer, the twins invite Matthew to live with them in their sumptuous Bohemian flat. As the revolution rages outside in the streets, the three embark on an intense, insular journey that will change Matthew's life forever. "Seriously, who isn't a massive fan of the fantastic value you can grab at the UK's bargain supermarkets? I mean, places like Aldi and Lidl have absolutely revolutionised our weekly shop, demonstrating that you can find top-notch grub and household essentials without completely emptying your wallet. It's not just about the headline The Dreamers [2003] (DVD) prices; these clever The Dreamers [2003] (DVD) stockists operate with incredibly efficient business models, often cutting out the middlemen by sourcing directly from suppliers. This direct-to-producer approach is a huge part of how they keep costs down, relying heavily on their own-brand ranges which are frequently manufactured by the very same, often large-scale, suppliers who produce the more expensive, well-known brands. So, whether it’s a big name food producer providing 'white label' goods or smaller, specialist suppliers entering into high-volume contracts, they're all integral to the magic. It means we, the discerning shoppers, get to enjoy surprisingly good quality products for a fraction of what we'd pay elsewhere, making that trolley dash feel less like a chore and more like a victorious treasure hunt!
