The Nokian WR D4 is a winter tyre that is the first of its kind to provide a wet grip, the tyre has been rated "A" for its wet grip and provides a risk-free and comfortable driving experience in both wet and snowy conditions. The slanted grading on the back-edge of the tread block helps prevent aquaplaning and sideplaning. The grading directs the water and slush out of the grooves in the tread pattern. nnThe tyre is constructed from natural rubber that contains three different compounds and “twin-trac” silica. The twin-trac silica rubber combines the Nokian Hakkapeliitta rubber that is capable of handling the harsh Northern European weather and a silica-based compound that can handle the milder weather. With the Nokian Silent Sidewall Technology, a special rubber compound between the sidewall and the tread actively dampens the sounds and vibrations from the road.
