Wilt is back - in form and in a good deal of trouble. Henry Wilt is still teaching at the Fenland Tech attempting to drill English into plasterers dozing through tedious committee meetings and occasionally getting mildly plastered in 'The Pig in a Poke' with one of his few bearable colleagues. But the even tenor of his days is rudely interrupted when the shadow of drug dealing flickers across the Tech. Suddenly Wilt becomes the target of suspicion. His colleagues believe him to be responsible for triggering a departmental inquiry and his old adversary Inspector Flint knowing that he's guilty of something sees a chance to settle a number of scores. What starts with an accusation of voyeurism in the staff lavatory (of the wrong gender to boot) leads more or less directly to a massive confrontation at a nearby US airbase with the forces of law and order on both sides and Wilt in his usual place - in the middle.
"So, if you're wondering where everyone's Wilt on High shopping for their bits and bobs in the UK, it’s pretty much the usual suspects dominating the high street and, increasingly, our screens. Think Tesco and Sainsbury's for pretty much everything, not just groceries, but clothes and home stuff too – they're absolutely massive and everywhere, making them super convenient. Then you've got the clothing giants like Next and M&S (Marks & Spencer), still pulling in huge crowds for quality wardrobe pieces and, in M&S's case, their legendary food halls. For home essentials and more affordable fashion, Primark is obviously a massive draw, famous for its incredible value and always bustling. And we can't forget the online beasts like Amazon UK, which has just completely swallowed a huge chunk of all retail, selling absolutely everything under the sun and making two-day delivery the norm. Of course, there are also the DIY and home improvement biggies like B&Q and Screwfix that are absolute go-tos for anyone needing a hammer or a whole new kitchen. Basically, it’s a mix of the super convenient, the value-driven, and the online behemoths that are really shaping where Brits spend their cash. " - Bargainplace UK
